Adobe Audition’s metronome can be a handy tool to ensure you stay on beat but how do you change the tempo in Adobe Audition CS5.5 and CS6? Mike Russell from Music Radio Creative shows you how.
Adobe Audition Metronome Tutorial (How to Change the Tempo)

Thanks for this Mike! Really useful to see how to change tempo etc.
Do you know of any way to export the metronome track as part of the multitrack mixdown? I saw a comment on an adobe forum saying it could be done – but in all my tests the metronome never comes out on the mixdown. I’ve hunted around in preferences but can’t see a setting anywhere. I’m using CS6. Thanks, Pete Edmunds
Thanks for asking Pete.
I’m not aware of any way to record the metronome natively in Adobe Audition. You’d likely need a setup that allows you to record the computer output like “What You Hear”, Stereo Mix or an audio interface with loopback facility (like the Saffire PRO 14). I also found a thread on the Adobe forums that seems to confirm this:

Thanks for the quick reply Mike.
Here’s the thread i saw: https://forums.adobe.com/message/2415683#2415683
The Adobe Staff member comment implies it can be done – perhaps using a combination of buses and sends etc – things I’ve not played with thus far. Will have to do some future experiments. Cheers, Pete.
How do I enable a count-in for recording guitar?
Thanks Mike, that’s one of those things I had never needed to know how to do – until I suddenly needed to do it.
