Cesar Abeid is a project manager, electrical engineer, podcaster, speaker and author, who works as the Vice President of Client Relations at Remontech. His full-time job takes him around the world as he helps large construction projects stay on track when it comes to scope, schedule and cost.
In new media, Cesar’s claim to fame is being the host and producer of his two podcasts: the multiple award-winning Construction Industry Podcast and the weekly Project Management for the Masses Podcast.
Cesar has been a speaker at New Media Expo and Podcast Movement, as well as several conferences related to Project Management and Construction. In 2014, Cesar successfully ran a Kickstarter campaign to fund the publishing of his book Project Management for You. The book will be published in the spring of 2015.
Top Quotes from Cesar Abeid:
- “I think my audience is really engaged… I think maybe that speaks more for the power of the podcast than anything else… It’s a good show, but I think because it is a podcast, and because we are able to connect with the audience in such a personal way with the podcast rather than just a blog.”
- “I’m a foreigner; English is my second language. If I make a mistake on the air, it’s cute. If I make a typo on a blog post, it’s unprofessional.”
- “It’s a lot easier to be personal and to be likable when you are using your voice, in my opinion at least, than when you’re just writing a good piece.”
- “I’ve always liked the idea of being a radio host, ever since I was a little kid.”
- “One of the dreams I had when going into engineering school was to be able to design concert halls, audio and acoustics, things like that.”
- “It was really cool to do and it gave me that taste for audio production, audio recording that I use as a podcaster.” [On working as a recording technician]
- “I just don’t have time for post-production.”
- “I feel so much more comfortable knowing that the recording is being done outside of my computer.”
- “The guys at Music Radio Creative – not only are they good with audio, but they’re very good marketers as well. People might not know that but once you sign up to get a package done, they will meet with you over Skype and ask you all the right questions… it’s very, very good; it’s almost like a coaching call and makes you think about your business, about your target market, about your message, about your branding, about the words you need to use, and by the time you’re done with that call, you have a much better notion or idea of what the message is for your show… I’ve launched two shows using Music Radio Creative and if/when I launch my third show one day, the first thing I’m going to do is call them.”
